The Top Energy Efficient Dryers

If you’re the type of person who likes to do laundry quite frequently, you might be looking at a hefty energy bill each month if your dryer isn’t very efficient. Dryers have to pump out a lot of warm air with every load of clothing, so you’re going to want one that will effectively dry your clothes without using a ridiculous amount of energy. Let’s take a look at a few of our favorite Energy Star-certified dryers that we sell here at Happys!

Samsung 7.5 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle High-Efficiency Electric Dryer with Steam

Samsung produces a wide selection of energy-efficient and cost-effective dryers, but we think these black stainless steel units are super slick. These dryers come equipped with a variety of economical power saving options that are very easy to use. They’re also nice because they give you the option to bypass the smart dry-sensing technology, if you’re in a scenario where you want an extra long and thorough drying.

Whirlpool 5.9 cu. ft. 14-Cycle High-Efficiency Dryer

Whirlpool is another brand that offers affordable and highly energy efficient dryers. Their units come equipped with an AutoDry sensor system that prevents your clothes from over drying and your dryer from using more energy than necessary. They also have a feature called WrinkleShield that protects your clothes from becoming creased. It provides you with four different temperature settings to choose from and has a flat backside that makes it ideal for fitting into small closets or utility rooms.

Maytag 7.3 Cu. Ft. 10-Cycle High-Efficiency Dryer

We love these Maytag dryers because they give the consumer a litany of different settings to choose from to achieve their desired cycle. They handle bulky loads exceptionally well while remaining energy efficient. This is largely due to their Advanced Moisture Sensing technology that monitors the moisture and air temperature inside the machine to ensure your load is evenly and completely dried. They have an “Extra Power” setting that is perfect for drying thick fabrics, as well as a Quick Dry setting for when you’re running short on time.
