Team I got this chimney as upgrade in my new house since the day we bought house this has been a pain point in early weeks the damper was making sound and then dimmer stopped. GE Team we're quite sorry to hear that your vent is loud and can understand how much of a pain that is. This vent has a sones rating of 1.5 (working speed) and 7.0 (high speed). THE LIGHTS WORKED THE FIRST DAY, THEN THEY QUIT WORKING. I SET UP A IN HOUSE APPT THRU THEIR WEBSITE, NO ONE SHOWED UP. SO I SET UP ANOTHER APPT FOR THE 15TH. HOPE THEY SHOW.
