How to Clean a Gas Grill

For the first time, Happys Appliances Outlet has begun selling Weber Outdoor Grills! If you decide to take your upcoming summer to the next level and purchase one, you’re going to want to keep it well-maintained. Here are a few tips on how to clean your grill after you’re done using it!

Steps

  1. Disconnect the grill from the gas line. Fill up a bucket with soapy warm water.
  2. Remove the grates and scrape them with a wire brush. If you don’t have a brush, ball up some aluminum foil and hold it with tongs.
  3. Remove the barrier that separates the burners and the grill, commonly known as a flame shield. Use a soft wire brush to unclog the burner holes and brush away any ash or residue and then put the burners back in their place. Then, clean the flame shield with soapy water.
  4. Use a hard wire brush to scrub the surfaces inside the grill. Rinse with water and dry it off with a cloth.
  5. Heat the grill for a minimum of 10 minutes before grilling your food.
